Masquerave Oneonta: Leaving Our Mark

Quick Note: Hey everyone. Currently,  We are hard at work doing the finishing touches on the Episode 2: NYC episode and so far it looks pretty damn good. There's a lot of post draft files in our back office and were diligently trying to catch up on all the stories from last weeks madness.

October 15th: This past Thursday, we rounded up the troops in Albany to have a quick meeting before our departure to Masquerave. Before the journey, we had to make sure that we all had our essentials, so we dropped in the first gas station we saw to grab some goodies. In dire need of food and beverages, we scooped up some popcorn, Bud Light Platinum's and Classic Four Loko's to make sure we were fully loaded for the ride. A dutch was also purchased (for celebratory cigar sharing) of course. As excited as we were to get on the thruway, we happened to pass by our first exit. This forced us to take an alternative route across rural central NY. The roads were windy and long, but there was plenty of time to kill. It also gave us a chance to observe the countryside in fall season. It was a great view from the backseat and we were getting live on some dope cruise beats.

When we finally arrived in Oneonta (As seen in the video), we were really stoked to be there and wanted to take some time to discover different areas of the SUNY campus. That's where the Four Loko's did their magic. There was only limited time before we were scheduled to check in at the Oneonta Theatre, so our crew downed the Loko's and went H.A.M flagging down local college students for the next hour. Various Students telling us that they knew about the show and that many of their friends planned on going had given us all a great feeling of anticipation for what was to come that night. There is nothing better than creating buzz while being buzzed ;) !

The theater's aesthetics far exceeded our expectations and featured a supersized 40 ft screen. This venue also happens to be the oldest theater still operating in upstate New York. It was an honor to see the PeepThis and Kido Logo showcased on the big screen behind the DJ booth. We sound checked, the line-up's were set and the crew was ready to go to work. DJ Fresco would start up the night followed by Air Atlantica, DJ Miser and then yours truly.

The U is Team hooked up the dressing rooms with Svedka and plenty of beer. We were settling in and I had been getting silly all day. I hooked up the PeepThis Crew with some dranks while we relaxed and waited for my set to begin. The music trend for the night featured a wide and steady variety of music set around 128 bpm range. So I thought I would change things up a bit and throw down some future bass on these Oneonta peeps!

One thing I would also like to mention is that Air Atlantica's set was awesome! I could hear all the noise well behind stage walls while everybody was getting loose.

Overall, the night was a lovely blur. All of the sets were amazing and I loved DJing in front of an all college crowd. It was huge change of setting compared to our usual shows and we hope we can continue to provide this kind of entertainment in the near future.

The PeepThis team would like to thank all of the college students from SUNY Oneonta for coming out for a Thursday show despite it being Mid-Term week!! You guys truly rock and we love you for that!

We would also like to give  big props to Tony Colasurdo Photography for coming out and taking some amazing pictures of everyone. Some of the Masquerave patrons spent hours on their costume efforts and their support is much appreciated!

We hope to have left our mark on the city of Oneonta like we did on the "Wall of Fame" board!
